Again with the whole baking thing...don't get me wrong I LOVE to bake, and I think I'm getting somewhat better (?), but I don't feel as comfortable or as at-ease as I normally would when I'm cooking. I'm always slightly more nervous that I'll mess up the recipe or measurements, ya know? This recipe was a slight adaptation of Minimalist Baker's Vegan and Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls.
I have a big sweet tooth, and love fulfilling that in ways that are sliiiiighly better for you. I say that because this recipe still calls for a lot of sugar. Although, they are vegan which is a plus for some! Typically I just aim for my recipes to be dairy free and wheat free, but by default sometimes the dairy fee recipes omit eggs and end up being vegan too. I'll take it!
I thought these cinnamon rolls would be both fun and a bit more challenging of a recipe to tackle than my usual breads. So, here we have it, some pretty pictures for you, the mess that I made, and a lot that I ate along the way!
Welp hi everyone! Thanks for even taking the time out of your day to read my rambling thoughts and introduce you to my blog! Yes, the blog that I’ve been telling everyone “I’m starting soon” for the past 3 years. I guess soon is now.
Please bear with me as I start and (hopefully) grow this blog. I never had a clear vision of the type of online presence I wanted or the space I wanted to represent. Quite frankly, I still haven’t had the epiphany I was waiting for. The vision has bended and shifted and changed hundreds of times, much like my own thoughts and decisions tend to do on a daily basis. What I do know, is that no matter what, I want this to be truly reflective of me, and I want to bring forth the truest version of myself. Writing this in itself is vulnerable enough, and nothing short of a large leap. I’ve never quite known any other way to dive into things than head first so here goes nothing!
My biggest goal and accomplishment in creating this is to inspire others - even in the smallest of ways. Nothing makes my heart happier than when friends or peers tell me that they’ve tried a recipe or food because of me, or gotten themselves into cooking, or found fun ways to get more creative around healthier versions of our favorite foods, or asked for my opinion on foodie spots in the city. Regardless, I hope that by reading this - this as is in I have absolutely NO idea: recipes, thoughts, food photography, reviews, travel - that you are inspired!
